Didintle Ntsie is a fierce supporter of creativity and creatives; she does this through the creation of physical spaces and platforms as well as through offering pro-bono consultancy services to emerging artists. She has worn various hats in her 10 years of work experience including event coordinator, sales manager, blogger, traveller, mc & host, project manager, curator, public speaker, placemaker, disrupter, activist, facilitator, artist and coach. She has now found a happy place as an independent consultant working mainly within the arts, culture and heritage sector.
Alexandrina Hemsley is an independent choreographer, dancer and writer who produces her own work. She makes work that aims to reclaim her identity as a mixed-race woman and tries to engage with the various cultural frameworks that mark, violate and subjugate her body on her own terms. Often she fails and falls into stunned silences. Her artistic practice is a way to undo this and an embodied way to react.
Her practice is a collaborative one which she sees as a way of keeping knowing active and open. Alexandrina is one part of duo Project O with Jamila Johnson-Small. She also works with choreographers Helena Webb and Rosie Heafford on Dad Dancing. Alexandrina has also collaborated with artist Katarzyna Perlak on Bounty Bars and Oreo Cookies. As a performer, she has worked with a range of artists. Her writing practice finds its home on Feminist Shakedown.
